I did my renaissance Lit exam today. Thank god that is out of the way. I think I had a panic attack last night. It was strange I was in bed and I knew I needed to sleep but couldn't and my mind was on my test. Then I started shaking a little with nerves and breathing really fast and I felt my heart speed up. I took deep breaths but it kept on happening. I didn't get one hour sleep in a row last night. I went to try to sleep at 2am and finally gave up at 7.30 am.(by that time I had calmed down)

So I got on the train to manchester and tried to read Dr Faustus by Christopher Marlowe with football fans crowding me. Turned out well though as the text proved useful even if it was dire to read. It wasn't hard just boring, really, really boring. I almost nodded off right there.

Then I got into my exam room and I felt energised and good even if I felt totally unprepared. I looked at the questions and there were 3 I felt I could answer so i relaxed even more considerably. I blame my feeling of unpreparedness on the lack of past papers I was given and the awful seminar class I was in. (I'm no genius but some people really dragged the debate. Of course the tutor can't let them get left behind but I felt I got nothing out of the seminars unless I was debating with the tutor in a smaller group)

well it was all going well when I started to flag at question 2. I was one and a half hours in and my motivation was low. I was going through it though then I got half way through question 3, two and a half hours in and I reached a mind block that I couldn't get over. I started thinking I should have done another question and time was called.

Je suis contente de moi. Je devrais même dire que je suis fière de moi. 

Pas parce que j'ai réussi un contrôle de Neerlandais. 

Ni parce que j'ai eu la Distinction que je vise cette année sur mon bulletin (c'est beau de rêver). 

Mais bel et bien parce que je viens de perdre mon 19ième kilos en 1 ans et quatre mois de régime (interrompu par 6 mois de pauses! loll). 

Je ne le vois pas. Je me croise dans le miroir tous les jours. Alors forcément, je ne vois pas la différence entre le moi d'il y a 1 ans et 4 mois et le moi de maintenant. Tout juste ai-je remarqué que mes anciens pantalons étaient bon à jeter, que mes anciennes blouses pendaient lamentablement sur mon corps et que, comme je l'ai dit à ma mère: mes deux bras sont brusquement plus proche l'un de l'autre lorsque je les mets le long de mon corps. 
Lorsque j'ai appris que j'avais perdu mon 19ième kilos (j'ai voulu hurler de joie), je me suis dit: Plus qu'un avant les 20! Plus que 11 avant la fin!

Perdre 30 kilos, ça semble impossible, quand on vous le dit. Mais quand on a la motivation et la volonté, on peut y arriver (même avec 6 mois de pauses). 

Mais surtout, quand je suis sortie de chez mon nutrisionniste, les yeux brillants de fierté et le pied aussi léger qu'une plume, je n'ai pensé qu'à une chose: faire une photo de moi et comparer avec une ancienne! Quoi de plus parlant? Quoi de plus marquant? Et je peux vous assurer que jamais je n'ai été plus choquée qu'en découvrant cette photo! Et en la montrant à l'école à des camarades de classe, l'une d'elle m'a demandé "qui est l'autre fille?" et elle ne plaisantait pas. 

Dans tous les cas, je suis vraiment fière de moi. Plus que 11 et j'aurais atteint mon but. Je serais toujours considéré comme "grosse" (70 kilos, ce n'est pas ... euh... Dans la norme pondérale, dirons-nous), mais c'est le mieux que je puisse faire avec ma corpulance et surtout, avec le corps que j'ai. Et peu m'importe après tout que l'on me trouve grosse car je saurais, moi, que je ne le serais pas avec mes 70 kilos étant donné le poids que j'ai fait par le passé. Personne ne dévaluera mes efforts et ma motivation. 

Je vous laisse découvrir cette photo avant après... Et celui qui me demande laquelle était avant et laquelle était après comme a eu le culos de le dire mon père, je le tue! loll
Courage à toutes les personnes qui traversent ce que j'ai traversé ou qui, comme moi, son en fin de régime et ont du mal à s'accrocher! Et même si elles ont des facilités, en fait! N'oubliez pas que quand on veut, on peut... 
Et si certains ne peuvent pas pour des raisons qui leurs sont propres (santé ou autre), ne vous sentez pas insulté par mes mots car je comprends cela.
